【摘要】:1.1Thisspecificationcoversbrickintendedforuseasapavingmaterialinareaswithahighvolumeofheavyvehiculartraffic.Theunitsaredesignedforuseinsuchplacesasstreets,commercialdriveways,andaircrafttaxiways.TheseunitsarenotintendedforapplicationscoveredbySpecificationsC410orC902.1.2Unitsaremanufacturedfromclay,shale,orsimilarnaturallyoccurringearthysubstancesandsubjectedtoaheattreatmentatelevatedtemperatures(firing).Theheattreatmentmustdevelopsufficientfiredbondbetweentheparticulateconstituentstoprovidethestrengthanddurabilityrequirementsofthisspecification(seefiring,firedbond,andincipientfusioninTerminologyC43).1.3Brickmaybeshapedduringmanufacturebyextruding,molding,orpressing.Brickmayhavespacinglugs,chamferededges,orboth.1.4Thevaluesstatedininch-poundunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.
